    Jill Kneerim, a partner in Kneerim & Williams, represents leading writers of nonfiction, both academics and journalists, including numerous best sellers and winners of the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award, the Bancroft and George Washington prizes, and the National Book Critics Circle Award. Her authors include scholars Stephen Greenblatt (The Swerve), Matthew Desmond (Evicted), Martin Puchner (The Written World), Steven Levitsky and Daniel Ziblatt (How Democracies Die), Serhii Plokhy, Louis Chude-Sokei and Caroline Elkins; journalists Larry Tye (Bobby Kennedy), Bo Burlingham, and David Laskin; biographers Susan Quinn and Gillian Gill; nurse/columnist Theresa Brown; and former poet laureate Robert Pinsky.

    Jill is a former editor and publisher who has worked for Simon & Schuster and Grossman Publishers, a publishing house that she cofounded. She has overseen the creation of countless books and worked with hundreds of authors.

    Jill's interests include big ideas; strong narrative nonfiction; American, African, Asian, and European history; sociology; psychology and anthropology; biography and memoir; women's issues; the English language; and good writing.
