Submission Guidelines
Please send a polished query letter to submissions@kwlit.com, and include a synopsis, a brief biography, and ideally ten to twenty pages of initial sample material in the body of the email (no attachments will be opened). Include the name of the agent you are querying in the subject line of the email, along with the title of your project and its genre.
Address your query to the agent you believe is the best fit for your work (consult the agents’ profiles here on our website for information about their individual lists). We are a small team and ask that you refrain from querying multiple agents with the same material, simultaneously or sequentially. We will share material internally as appropriate. Please do not query the agent directly at their email. All submissions must be sent to submissions@kwlit.com to be considered.
Due to the volume of queries we receive, we regret that we cannot respond individually to each one. If we are interested in reading more, a member of our team will be in touch with you.
Please note that Ike Williams is not open to queries and that, with the exception of Matthew Valentinas, our agents do not represent original screenplays. We do not accept queries by mail or by phone.
Internship
We offer an editorial internship in our Boston office during the Spring semester for current undergraduate and graduate students in the Boston area. To be considered, please send a brief cover letter via email expressing your interest to Sarah Khalil, attaching a resume (PDF/Word) and two writing samples.
