    Katherine Flynn is a partner at Kneerim & Williams, where she has been a literary agent since 2008. She represents both fiction and nonfiction and is a member of the agency's film and television department as well. Prior to joining the agency, Katherine worked at the publishing company of Bedford/St. Martin's as well as the literary agency of Nicholas Ellison/Sanford J. Greenburger Associates, Inc. in New York, where she assisted with authors such as suspense writer Nelson DeMille, women's fiction writer Olivia Goldsmith, and the Dexter series author Jeff Lindsay. She has also taught English literature and composition to high school students and worked in a rare book shop. She serves as the publishing consultant to Harvard University's Radcliffe Institute and on the board of the Women's National Book Association, Boston Chapter. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University and then pursued her Ph.D. in History at Brown University, where she is now A.B.D..

    She represents History, Biography, Politics, Current Affairs, Adventure, Nature, Pop Culture, Science, and Psychology for non-fiction and particularly loves exciting narrative nonfiction. She also represents both literary and commercial fiction, and is fond of urban or foreign locales, crime novels, insight into women's lives, biting wit, and historical settings. That said, she is open to anything that is well-written and contains a good, fresh story.
